Welcome to MT. Greylock Campsite Park! A message from behind the front desk...

Our guests often ask me what inspired us to purchase and manage a campground. Here is the short answer….

My husband, Gordon, and I purchased this campground on May 17, 2017. It was a retirement venture. We both loved camping, cycling, hiking and being outdoors.

I was already semi-retired from the field of social work, and he was anxious to spread “his wings”, own his own business and grow beyond the 22 years he served as a high school science teacher and school administrator. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly on February 2, 2023. I have an amazing team here and together; we carry on his legacy.

Meet Sonny…my 24 year old registered Paint who joined our family in November, 2021. I always had to be careful about what I wished for out loud as Gordon had a habit of just making my dreams come true. Sonny, his tack, supplements, vet, farrier, dentist, his trailer and the truck that pulls it and my lessons are no exception. Sonny keeps me young, is a great listener and has been a terrific motivator on my best and worst days since Gordon’s passing. Not one thing will ever replace Gordon, however, Sonny is a constant reminder of all I shared with Gordon. Sonny visits the campground. I know he enjoys his time here and looks forward to meeting all our guests.

We are “beyond grateful” for all the guests who return to camp with us each season. We welcome all the new guests who are just discovering our clean and beautiful campground that is located at the base of Mount Greylock, close to all the arts and culture and outdoor recreation that the Berkshires of Massachusetts offers. Gordon is remembered for his incredible intellect, profound sense of humor, love of the outdoors and all things science and for his love of family and his community.

In Our Hearts Forever

Gordon and Patricia bought this 47-acre, 115 site campground on May 17, 2017. They are delighted to welcome you to this special location.

They left careers in social work and science education to join the hospitality industry here in the Berkshires. Reflecting on the past, they  are proud of all the improvements we have made to the campsites and amenities.
